Missouri Southern State University is seeking candidates for a full-time professional staff on-campus position as the Director of Simulation and Interprofessional Education (IPE). The Director of Simulation and IPE is responsible for providing leadership in clinical simulation and IPE. This role will work collaboratively with faculty to design and implement innovative simulation-based and interprofessional learning experiences that enhance student readiness to work effectively in interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The director oversees the operational, technical, and financial management of the Simulation Center and ensures its alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Education, Experience, and Other Credentials
A Bachelor’s Degree in a Health Science or related field is required; a Master’s Degree in health-related field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of clinical healthcare experience is required. Demonstrated experience in simulation-based training and/or education is required. A current Missouri license to practice in a clinical health-related field is required. Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) is preferred or must be willing to obtain one of these certifications within six months of hire. Experience in interprofessional education is preferred. Evidence of professional leadership experience is preferred. Certification as Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor is preferred or must be willing to obtain this certification within six months of hire.

Requires the ability to smell and taste. The employee must be able to operate simulation equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
