Missouri Southern State University invites applications for a tenure-track full-time on campus Assistant Professor of English beginning fall of 2025. Specialization is open, but experts in British literature before 1700, professional and technical writing, or digital humanities are encouraged to apply. Experience teaching linguistics, directing internships, and advising students toward careers built on humanities skills are also desired. The successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester, including general education literature, composition, and courses in their specialty.

The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching and advising at the undergraduate level. Candidates will have or expect to receive their Ph.D. in English before August 1, 2025.
