General Statement of Job
The Event Support Technician provides technical support to internal and external constituents of the University. The primary role is to assist with the operation of audio, video and related technology systems in support of events scheduled in university venues or in support of official University functions at external venues.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Education, Experience, and Licenses
Experience operating or installing professional audio and video equipment is preferred.
Two plus years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Driver's License and the ability to meet insurance requirements for driving university provided vehicles.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, texture perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requires the ability to smell. This position requires above average hearing.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
